This 8-hour training is the minimum required under current State law for those employees who must respond to incidents involving the potential or actual release of a toxic or hazardous substance. This training allows the first responder to gain a basic understanding of the potential risks involved in dealing with such incidents and how they may be resolved in an appropriate and safe manner. This level of awareness training is not sufficient for actual hands-on cleanup and mitigation of toxic or hazardous releases but will provide information necessary for first responders to use when making decisions to ensure continued personal and environmental safety. ASCIP’s hazardous materials management and disposal consultant, IEL Consulting, will offer this informative presentation which is intended to assist individuals who are required to respond to releases of potentially hazardous materials. Attendees must be present for the entire program to receive a training certificate.
