Heat Illness Prevention for Outdoor Workers

Alliance of Schools for Cooperative Insurance Programs (ASCIP) invites you and your staff to attend this free workshop to understand the dangers posed by excessive heat and how you can protect your staff. Mr. Leiner will provide the knowledge and skills to build an effective Heat Illness Program and to comply with the new standard that went into effect May 1, 2015. Learn how Cal/OSHA interprets and enforces the Heat Illness Prevention Standard as it applies to:

  • Access to water;
  • Employee/Supervisor training;
  • Access to shade;
  • High heat procedures;
  • Written procedures;
  • Emergency plan & first aid.

 

Additionally, Dr. O’toole will provide the knowledge of defending your district from citations arising out of heat illness claims.

As always, there is no charge to ASCIP members or our invited guests to attend.
