Supporting mental health in the workplace is no longer a “nice gesture” but a necessity, especially when employees are those working with and around students. “Quiet quitting” and the “Great Resignation,” along with a noticeable increase in mental health challenges cannot be ignored. Administrators have the opportunity and power to make their school/district an engine for positive mental health and wellbeing. Supporting employee mental health is supporting student mental health and the overall success of the school and district. This workshop will challenge school administrators to rethink how they protect workers from harm, foster a sense of connection among workers, demonstrate that workers matter, encourage positive and healthy lives outside of work and support professional and personal growth.
