Minors on Campus – Potential liability everywhere, and for longer than you think!
While traditional K-12 school districts have long understood the uniquely serious liability claims potential presented by minors (those most vulnerable and sympathetic claimants) on campus, California community colleges are now finding themselves drawn ever deeper into these very same minefields. From changes in the law loosening restrictive statutes of limitation, to the nearly universal rise in “dual enrollment” agreements that bring more kids to campus, every California educational institution needs to be aware of the dangers they face in protecting their youngest students.
