We’ve all been there: The rush of adrenaline and panic when we learn a student was injured during a field trip or district-sponsored excursion. A flood of questions and activities follow. The list of possible issues is as endless as the list of potential outcomes.
In an attempt to control these risks and panic-inducing situations, district spend thousands of hours and countless resources annually developing and updating policies, procedures, and expectations, with no visibility into whether or not they are being followed. While well intending, these policies often add to an ever-increasing teacher workload, creating bureaucratic inefficiencies, and additional administrative costs.
During this Breakfast and Learn, we will discuss lessons learned from these experiences and as a group review policies, processes, and enforcement tactics that may have alleviated these tricky situations. Attendees will be active participants in problem solving solutions for their own and other district’s policy and compliance pain points, learn about industry standards, and leave with actionable items for implementation within their district.
There is no charge to attend this event for ASCIP members or our invited guests.
